To find your your local IP and Physical Address of your computer.
Goto: Start > All Programs > Accessorys > Command Prompt
Type: ipconfig /all
Depending on the amount of Network Connections your computer has there may be more than 1 entry, the network cards can usually be identified by the Decription under each one:
| Physical Address |
The MAC address of your computer. |
| Dhcp Enabled |
Yes: Your computer receives an address from a DHCP server. No: Your computer has a Static IP set within it properties. |
| IP Address |
The IP address of your network card. |
| Subnet Mask |
The Subnet of your network card. |
| Default Gateway |
The address of the gateway that connects you to your network or the internet. |
| DHCP Server |
The address of your DHCP server (if used). |
| DNS Server |
The address of the Domain Name Server that your computer uses to transulate domain names to IP address's in order to find Domain locations. |
| Lease Obtained |
The time your computer received its current Dynamic IP address. |
| Lease Expires |
The time your Dynamic IP will expire. |
